Charles Barkley recently announced that he had been feeling ill with what he believed were coronavirus symptoms. Test results have come back negative for the big fella, and thank goodness. One of the greatest content machines of all time coming down with The Big Cancel would have been devastating.

There is something about Chuck that I think just instantly brings a smile to people’s faces. His raw emotions and unfiltered takes on just about anything has made Inside The NBA one of the most electric pre and post-game shows in sports. The dynamics between Kenny The Jet, Charles, Shaq, and Ernie Johnson are simply unmatched in my book. I don’t think you are going to find another guy, especially in this era, that gets a pass for the things he says because “it’s just Chuck being Chuck.”
If you send any average Joe or any ex-athlete up on a national stage and have them blurt out some of the things that Charles has said over the years, their career would most likely be finished that day, canceled for good. There is just something about Charles that brings out the best in you, no matter how raunchy or bizarre his stances or thoughts are.
TNT had to know when bringing him on the team that there is no structure with Charles the same way there is no filter with him, you get what you get and if you don’t like it, he doesn’t give a shit. Whether it is his late feud with Warriors superstar Draymond Green, or his recent scare with coronavirus, once again the big man has proven there is NO stopping him. I could not think of a better way to start my day today than finding out that the test came back negative.
