Five-star defensive back Charles Lester III will soon make his college commitment. The cornerback is one of the nation’s most highly sought after players, boasting offers from every major program in America.

As of now, it appears that his recruitment will come down to three schools. Those top suitors include Alabama, Colorado, and Florida State.

Lester hails from Venice, Florida which seemingly gives the Seminoles a leg up in the race, but we’ve seen both Coach Prime and Nick Saban win their fair share of Sunshine State talents.

In Deion Sanders’ case, he’s gone head-to-head with his alma mater to land top prospects like Travis Hunter, and many believe that the same could happen in Lester’s case.

So, though the Seminoles received the defender’s last visit (June 16) and hold the edge with 90% of the predictions at On3 Sports, few would be surprised if he ultimately chose the Colorado Buffaloes.

His latest social media activity has further fueled those notions.

On Saturday, just two weeks after his latest trip to Tallahassee, Lester posted a blown-up photo of him and Coach Prime from his official visit to Boulder.

Fans quickly reacted to the post.

One follower wrote, “Charles Lester III has a photo with Coach Prime printed out! Seems like his meeting with CU made a lasting impression.”

Another said, “The printout picture of CL3 and the GOAT has FSU fans tight!”

This fan simply commented, “Hunter-McClain-Lester III,” referencing Travis Hunter, who Deion Sanders flipped from FSU, and Cormani McClain, who Coach Prime flipped from Miami. That trio would provide the Colorado secondary with a ton of talent.

Of course, FSU fans believe he’s a Seminole lock. It’s worth noting that he also posted a photo from his trip to Tallahassee just a few days earlier.

This recruitment could come down to the wire, and it seems both Colorado and Florida State will be in the race until the end. Charles Lester is set to make his commitment at the end of the month with an announcement scheduled for July 28.
