San Francisco 49ers cornerback Charvarius Ward has had a difficult week, with his infant daughter undergoing open heart surgery.

On Tuesday, Ward shared a photo on Instagram showing him holding his daughter, and asking for prayers for her surgery.

Thankfully, a few hours later he updated his fans, thanking them for their support and prayers and sharing the good news that the surgery had been successful.

Ward’s daughter, Amani, is now on the road to recovery, and the football player expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of love he had received during this difficult time. It’s a relief to see that the surgery went well and that his daughter is doing well.

Ward’s fans will be glad to hear that the 26-year-old’s career is also going strong. He signed a three-year contract with the 49ers last offseason, which was worth $40.5 million. In a recent restructuring of the deal, the 49ers converted nearly $12.5 million of Ward’s base salary into a signing bonus. This move will lower his cap hit in 2023 and spread it out over the remainder of his contract.

Ward had a successful first year with the 49ers, recording 87 tackles and 11 passes defended, both career highs. He also managed to snag an interception during the season. Ward previously played as a starter for the Kansas City Chiefs for four years before moving to the 49ers.

As Ward focuses on his family and his career, his fans will continue to offer their support and well wishes. It’s good to know that his daughter is on the road to recovery and that Ward is continuing to perform at a high level on the football field.
