Christian McCaffrey’s Girlfriend Olivia Culpo Reacts To Him Being Traded To The 49ers

Anytime a big name athlete gets traded, especially in the middle of their season, such as what just happened to running back Christian McCaffrey, it affects a whole lot of people.

Some people who are affected by deals such as this look for someone to blame.

But really, the Panthers needing and/or wanting to trade their eighth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft to the San Francisco 49ers, was purely a team effort in Carolina.

In addition to how this trade affects the Panthers’ current players, coaches, and front office, as well as the 49ers (who traded a second-round pick in 2023, a third-rounder in 2023, a fourth-round pick in 2023 and fifth-rounder in 2024), it also has a ripple effect other important people like … gamblers.

Oh, and it also affects Christian McCaffrey’s girlfriend since the summer of 2019 following her weird breakup with Danny Amendola, 2012 Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.

Following news of the deal, Culpo took to social media to express the mixed feelings she is having over her boyfriend being sent off to San Francisco.

“So many emotions right now,” Olivia Culpo wrote on her Instagram story over a video of ESPN’s Adam Schefter discussing the deal

“This city stole my heart and I’ll never forget the memories and people who made the last 3+ years so special,” Culpo wrote on Instagram to her more than 5.2 million followers. “I’ll miss you all so much and you’ll always hold a special place in my heart.

“I’m so proud of you Christian! Seeing your light shine is one of my favorite things in life and I’m beyond excited and grateful for this next chapter in Cali, the place I’ve called home for the last 8 years. Niners Nation, let’s go!

“Ps- to all of my LAX to CLT flight attendants on American Airlines. Love you guys and thank you for the heavy pours. I won’t be seeing you as often but we had a good run.”

On the plus side, as she mentioned, Culpo, who was Miss Rhode Island, now lives in California so this is a convenient if not bittersweet move.

McCaffrey, on the other hand, is a West Coast kid having attended high school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and college in Palo Alto, California at Stanford.

“I’m forever grateful for all of the people who have helped make these past 5 1/2 years so special for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Carolina, I will always love you,” McCaffrey tweeted to his fans.

Most importantly, with this move, it looks like Olivia Culpo and her sister Sophia are going to have some new battles to fight over their NFL boyfriends.
