Colby Covington is making a push to be featured on the UFC’s annual Madison Square Garden card in December.

While speaking with Submission Radio, Covington says that he wants the UFC to book his fight against Leon Edwards in New York so he can fight in front of Donald Trump.

“President Trump gave his word he can’t wait to come out to the fight, he’ll be at the title fight surely…Let’s do the biggest and best business we can do in the Mecca, Madison Square Garden…New York City is Trump country, it’s Colby Covington country, this fight needs to go to Madison Square Garden, we all know why, Jon Jones is unreliable”

Covington said that he plans to confront Jon Jones, who is scheduled to be fighting in the main event against Stipe Miocic, about his past legal issues.

“Who doesn’t want to see me on stage with Jon Jones? I’m gonna ask him the questions that all the people want answered, what is a picogram Jon? Hey Jonny, who were the two girls in the back of your Bentley when you wrecked it in Vegas? I want the tough questions, hey Jonny, what was in the bag when you hit the pregnant lady at the stop light and fled from the scene?”

Last week, UFC president Dana White said he was trying to make Covington-Edwards in the Garden.
