The Cleveland Browns’ news wire consisting of true mediocrity, the unknown and tv show-like drama never sleeps. I think I’ve written ‘this team is a mess’ as many times as Odell Beckham Jr. has yelled ‘come get me‘ at other team’s sidelines this year, which is a lot.

As the Browns are set for their 12th straight losing season, it’s raised the question of whether or not first-year head coach Freddie Kitchens should be given a second season in Cleveland. The team is in turmoil and the product on the field has been bad far more often than it has been good.

Colin Cowherd, noted critic of the Browns, has given his latest thoughts about the situation in Cleveland and he believes the team should let go of Kitchens if they can land one of either Lincoln Riley or Ron Rivera.

You know you’re in store for quite the tweet when a 55-year-old starts it off by writing ‘Yo Cle.’ I’m convinced Cowherd doesn’t know how Twitter threads work and I really want to know how long it took him to fit in all of those unique characters in one tweet, but that’s neither here nor there.

Cowherd offers up a bit of false hope for Cleveland fans explaining that if the team could land Rivera or Riley then Kitchens needs to go but then follows that up by saying the Browns can’t due to history; just all-time analysis from Cowherd.

He is absolutely right that Baker Mayfield needs more help around him, specifically consistent help. The Browns have playmakers all over the field but need those playmakers plus men in the trenches to bring it week-in and week-out.

This certainly won’t be the last time Cowherd offers up ideas about the Browns and what they should do come the offseason.
