Following his National Anthem protest last August, Colin Kaepernick’s jersey was flying off the shelves. His #7 jersey surged past Ezekiel Elliot’s to grab the top spot in NFL jersey sales. The former super Bowl participating quarterback’s gear had sold more over the week following the protest than in the previous eight months combined. Just last month, Kaepernick’s 49ers jersey ranked 17th in jersey sales.
As it stands today, Colin Kaepernick still doesn’t have a team, despite reportedly being ‘fully committed’ to playing in the NFL. Kaep opted out of his contract with the 49ers and the cerebral Michael Vick claims he should cut his afro if he wants to sniff an NFL roster.
To add insult to injury, Kaepernick’s authentic 49ers jersey, originally $300, is now selling at Ross Department Store for $4.99. Less than the price of a 7 Eleven pizza.

My high school jersey would fetch a bigger asking price than this. And I sucked royally. Kinda sad.
