The Georgia Bulldogs will meet the Florida Gators in Jacksonville on Saturday for their annual neutral site matchup that’s known as the ‘world’s largest outdoor cocktail party’ due to the impressive amount of gettin’ after it taking place in and around Riverwalk before/after the game.

A grocery store in Georgia is selling whole, fully-skinned alligators to UGA fans either tailgating at home or heading to the world’s largest outdoor cocktail party (WLOCP) in Jacksonville and it has picked up all sorts of attention. The Striplings General Store in Bogart, Georgia is marketing it as the ultimate ‘Gater-Hater’ experience for Dawgs.

Striplings shared a Facebook Reels of their unique special. The caption on that Reels since it doesn’t embed is:

“Hey Bulldogs and Gator-haters! Get ready for the ultimate feast for the GA/FL game! Reserve your whole gator today or grab some GATOR MEAT! That’s right, folks! While the Gators might be fierce on the field, they’re no match for our taste buds! So, why not celebrate our inevitable victory by sinking your teeth into some delicious gator meat?”

I edited out the emojis to make it easier on the eyes. Also, the Striplings General Store location in Bogart can be found at: 4501 Monroe Hwy, Bogart, GA 30622, USA.

Wes Blankenship ( @GoCoffeetown on X) caught wind of this and want on down to the Striplings General Store that’s selling these Gater-Hater whole, skinned alligators to see what it’s all about:

They look absolutely delicious. They’re Recently harvested in Louisiana. And when covered in bacon like Wes Blankenship did they look better than an Easter glazed ham.

In the video, the butcher describes alligator as tasting ‘like chicken’ and he’s not wrong. I’m a born and raised Floridian and have been known to eat alligator on many occasions. I personally prefer my alligator battered and fried but to each their own.
