Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson is poised to make a powerful impact in the 2023 NFL season after overcoming significant challenges during his rookie year.

Having survived a harrowing attempted carjacking that left him shot twice and forced him to miss the initial four games of the 2022 season, Robinson’s resilience and determination are now fueling his aspirations for greatness on the field.

According to ESPN’s John Keim, Robinson expressed his gratitude for being alive and the support he received throughout his recovery.

Reflecting on his 2022 performance, the young running back acknowledged that he wasn’t able to showcase his full potential due to lingering physical effects from the traumatic incident. Despite these obstacles, he managed to rush for an impressive 800 yards.

“People didn’t see the real me last year because I was still limping around and recovering,” Robinson said candidly. “But now, I feel like a different person altogether. The difference between this year and last year is night and day. Expect great things.”

With a renewed sense of vigor and determination, Robinson is eager to demonstrate the true extent of his talents in the upcoming season.

Robinson has been working tirelessly to regain his full strength and agility, determined to unleash his true potential and contribute significantly to the Commanders’ success.

Coach Ron Rivera, who has been closely monitoring Robinson’s progress, commended the running back’s maturity and dedication.

“We had a real good picture of what he can be,” Rivera said. “Now, we see a more mature version of last year’s guy who went through camp before the shooting. There’s still room for growth, but the promise is undeniable.”

As Robinson continues to put in the hard work, both on and off the field, his teammates rally behind him, inspired by his resilience and unyielding spirit.
