Titans pass catcher DeAndre Hopkins seems to be enjoying Nashville. The wide receiver is in the perfect place to both appease his country music taste and transition into life after football.

Hopkins landed with Tennessee this past offseason after spending three seasons in Arizona. Prior to that, he was a superstar in Houston, blossoming into one of the surest handed wideouts in the game.

I mean, the dude’s highlight reel is just ridiculous.

He decided to bring his 11,000+ career receiving yards with him to Nashville this year, providing the Titans with an experienced play maker on the outside. Over his first four games, he’s pulled down 18 catches for 216 yards.

Deandre Hopkins’ offseason decision came thanks, in part, to country music star Tim McGraw.

An article by the Tennessean referenced messages between the duo over the summer while the receiver was going through free agency.

“Believe it or not, he’s a big Tim McGraw fan,” GM Ran Carthon said after taking Hopkins and his girlfriend to the CMA fest. “I’m thankful to Tim and his team because they reached out and let him know that we wanted him here in this city.”

It’s been the perfect marriage thus far for the NFL star who often sports a pair of Luke Combs themed Crocs. And with Hopkins re-enrolling at Clemson in hopes of one day organizing his own music festivals, he could call Nashville home after football retirement.

An All-ACC performer with the Tigers, he left college after his junior season. He’s now taking online courses in order to earn his Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management degree.

Once complete, he could begin meshing his passion and education into a new career field. Based on his recent social media activity, he’s already starting that process.

DeAndre Hopkins “transforms” into country music star Kane Brown.

Brown is one of top artists in country music right now, having two albums top the US Country charts. His 2018 release Experiment hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Hopkins teamed up with Brown in this social media trend, though he added a new twist by actually “transforming” into the singer at the end of the clip.

While lighthearted, maybe it sparks a future partnership should D-Hop move into the industry.

For now, he’ll stick to catching passes on Sundays. The Titans face off against the Colts this weekend.
