Thanksgiving Day football in Dallas has been a yearly tradition since 1966, with just two exceptions in the 1970s. And, Cowboys fans were very excited to get into AT&T Stadium today ahead of the team’s matchup with the Washington Commanders.

Take a look at the video of thousands of Dallas Cowboys fans lined up, and then storm into the stadium once the gates open.

I’m sure people are laughing at this video, because people love to laugh at Dallas Cowboys fans. After all, the team hasn’t been to an NFC Championship game in 27 years, and they only have four playoff wins in that time frame. It makes the “America’s Team” moniker seem pretty silly.

But, whether people want to believe it or not, Dallas fans have plenty to be excited about with this team. They sit at 7-3, and are at the least a fringe Super Bowl contender, if not a serious one.

Quarterback Dak Prescott is playing arguably the best football of his career, as is wide receiver Ceedee Lamb. And, the defense has withstood the season-ending injury to star cornerback Trevon Diggs to continue to excel. Micah Parsons is once again in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation, and Da’Ron Bland has an incredible four interceptions returned for touchdowns this year.

Vegas expects this afternoon’s game to be a blowout. The Cowboys are 13.5 point favorites over their struggling division rivals, who are 4-7 after a solid start to the season.
