New Cowboys quarterback Trey Lance is stepping up to the plate in a big way as the team gears up to take on his former squad, the 49ers, in Week 5

According to the official website, Lance isn’t just adjusting to his new team; he’s actively helping his coaches and personnel staff by sharing info from his time in San Francisco.

Dak Prescott seems to appreciate Lance’s help: “He’s been very helpful, honestly,” Prescott remarked. “Just in the way their defense can move, certain calls they may have to make if we put them in certain positions.”

Lance was a top pick for the 49ers, chosen as the 3rd overall in the 2021 Draft. However, a series of setbacks, including injuries and less-than-stellar performances, coupled with the emergence of Brock Purdy as the new franchise quarterback, led to the 49ers trading Lance off to Dallas earlier this season, in exchange for a 4th round pick.

Now, the Dallas and San Francisco are set to play each other on the field, and looks like Lance his doing his best to help his new team beat his old one. The 3-1 Cowboys vs the 4-0 49ers should be the game of the week

We’ll see how much of Lance’s insider knowledge add to the game. Will Lance get some payback? we’ll see.
