Huge Star-Studded Crowd Watches Blockbuster Showdown Between LaMelo Ball Vs. Zion Williamson

LaMelo Ball and Zion Williamson, faced off for the first time ever, and it was a big deal. The spectacle was played in Las Vegas garnered unheard of crowds for an AAU game and the livestream was watched by over 70,000 viewers. Police barricaded doors at the Cashman Center and turned away people because there was just too many people trying to get into the gym. At one point, the Adidas Summer Championship game was in jeopardy of being canceled due to fire code violations.

NBA players Damian Lillard, Andrew Wiggins, Thon Maker, Eric Gordon, Jamal Murray, as well as Lonzo Ball, were all at the chaotic standing-room only game. LeBron James had planned to watch to attend the game, but never got out of his vehicle after he arrived.

The highly anticipated showdown featured the Big Baller Brand AAU team, coached by LaVar Ball and led by LaMelo, versus the SC Supreme team featuring Zion, the No. 2 high school baller in the country. Zion Williamson is an athletic freak who also sports an NBA-ready frame and can unleash a nasty dunk at any moment.

LaMelo is LaVar Ball’s youngest son and brother to Lonzo Ball.

LaMelo filled up the stat sheet with 36 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds as Zion finished with 31 points and 8 rebounds.

Before the game began, LaVar Ball said LaMelo would drop 50.

LaVar also said he and LaMelo would beat LeBron and Michael Jordan because of course he did.

LaVar also jawed with a ref and was given a technical foul.

In the end, Williamson’s team won by the score of 104-92. Give credit to LaVar Ball, he knows how to drum up interest in his sons’ games.
