In a scathing critique following the Cowboys’ dismal 42-10 loss to the 49ers on Sunday night, former 3-time Pro Bowl safety Donte Whitner didn’t mince his words when talking about Dak Prescott’s performance.

Prescott was hoping to beat the 49ers after a rough playoff game last season against them but he seemed completely off game.

Dak only completed 14 of 24 passes for 153 yards, he threw one touchdown pass but also he had three times more interceptions.

Whitner, a former top 10 draft pick, didn’t hold back during NBC Bay Area’s 49ers postgame show. He bluntly stated, “Dak Prescott sucks. Period. They talk so much about Dak Prescott being a top tier QB, franchise guy, I don’t see it. I see them trying to cover up for what he lacks.”

The former player-on-current-player criticism comes exactly a week after Rodney Harrison was called out for saying that Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is “Garbage” in his post-game comments on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs.

With the loss, the Cowboys drop to 3-2 and go to face the Chargers on Week 6.
