Over the weekend a video of Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert getting ‘sucker-punched’ made the rounds on social media. The rather disturbing incident reportedly took place at a South Dakota restaurant in Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen police department released a statement on Monday morning stating that a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with simple assault for the alleged attack.
“It was discovered that an adult male had been punched in the face. The male was transported to Avera St. Lukes Hospital where he was treated and released, per NBC Sports.
“Investigation led to the arrest of Kyle Douglas Hadala, age 29 of Sarasota, Florida. He was charged with simple assault.”
According to the Brown County State’s Attorney Office, Hadala has been released on a personal recognizance bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 10.
Goedert is from South Dakota and played college football at South Dakota State before being drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. After hauling in 16 catches as a rookie he followed that up with 15 grabs this past season to go along with five touchdowns.
