Less than two weeks ago, Damar Hamlin was lying on the ground in Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium without a pulse.

He was then resuscitated, put onto a stretcher, and taking to the University of Cincinnati Hospital.

Since then, Hamlin has taken an encouraging path to recovery. He first opened his eyes. He then responded to commands, before eventually being about to breathe on his own. Then came talking and eventually standing and walking.

Three days ago, Hamlin left the hospital and returned home to Buffalo. His path to recovery amid a terrifying situation has been nothing short of inspirational.

But it’s not finished.

There are still steps to be taken and Hamlin is working through those day by day. The 24-year-old Buffalo Bills safety defensive back took yet another one of those steps on Saturday.

The Pittsburgh native returned to Orchard Park and the Buffalo Bills’ practice facility to reunite with his teammates. Bills’ Linebacker Matt Milano shared images for the touching moment on Instagram.

Fans were overjoyed by the news of Hamlin’s return to the team facility.

Buffalo is gearing up to begin its playoff run. The Bills begin the postseason against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. But for now, all eyes are on Hamlin. Following a terrifying incident that had fans fearing the worst, it appears he’s well on his way back to living a happy and healthy full life.
