UCONN head basketball coach Dan Hurley wasted no time in celebrating his team’s Big East regular season title on Sunday. Hours after a 30-point win over Seton Hall, he was spotted in the bar scene high-fiving Husky students.

Hurley was certainly riding a high following yet another dominant year. After winning a national championship in the 2023 Big Dance, his UCONN squad was expected to contend for another deep run this March.

So far, they’ve not disappointed.

The Huskies have posted an incredible 26-3 overall record, including a 16-2 mark in league play. Led by 7-foot-2 big man Donovan Clingan and a pair of veteran guards, Connecticut’s shined.

One of their more impressive performances of the season came this past weekend when they defeated Seton Hall 91-61. At the moment, the Pirates are considered a tournament team by bracketologist Joe Lunardi, but they proved no match for UCONN.

Everyone got in on the action in that win, including Dan Hurley’s son, Andrew.

The vibes were off the chart, and no one could keep a celebration from erupting.

Dan Hurley went bar hopping after securing the Big East title.

Clips of the head coach high-fiving students at a bar called Ted’s quickly went viral on social media late Sunday. Hurley was ready to have a night!

What’s best – his players didn’t even know his plan to go downtown!

Hassan Diarra learned about the late-night appearance on X, just like the rest of us who weren’t in attendance.

“We got a text from Donovan – like ‘I think coach is at Ted’s,'” he said on the Aaron Torres podcast. “I went on Twitter and was laughing at the video.”

Dan Hurley has painted himself as a villain to some around college basketball due to a few passionate defenses of his UCONN team, so it’s good to see this side.

He’ll now prep his group for the conference tournament, where the Huskies will boast the top seed.
