“Daniel Bryan owes his entire career UFC fighter Diego Sanchez” is something JBL would say during Raw to incite the hardcore Daniel Bryan supporters and piss off half of Twitter. He’d then follow it up with five minutes of praise for Bryan because the guy just doesn’t understand how this whole heel announcer thing works but back to Daniel Bryan.
Now, Bryan doesn’t owe his WWE career to Sanchez, but the wrestler thinks the fighter should get some credit for Bryan’s popular “YES!” chant. Bryan has said he got the idea from a Sanchez match, specifically UFC 95.
Here’s the specific match. Roll that beautiful bean footage.
I mean he’s just yelling “Yes!” and Bryan does it with a little more pizzazz with the finger points and high jumps and what not. Though Bryan does feel like the kind of guy where the mere idea of taking another athletes thing would eat him up inside. He just seems swell like that.
Bryan and Sanchez had never met, until a WWE event this weekend in New Mexico. Sanchez sat front row and Bryan acknowledge him in the crowd and the two snapped this photo together after the event.
Finally met the original YES man, @DiegoSanchezUFC here at #WWEAlbuquerque… Truly an honor. YES! YES! YES! pic.twitter.com/iKGRBhjQba

Not exactly a Dane Cook and Louis CK rivalry going here. Bryan needs to steal something else. Perhaps his razor?
