A Salty Cavs Player Reportedly Called Danny Ainge ‘A F***ing Thief’ For Kyrie Irving Trade

Last offseason, Kyrie Irving screwed the Cavs when he requested the team to trade him because he didn’t want to play in LeBron James’ shadow anymore. The Cavs eventually had to settle on receiving Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, Brooklyn’s 2019 first-round pick and Miami’s 2020 second-round pick for the all-star guard.

The Cavs went on to trade Thomas and Crowder for George Hill, Jordan Clarkson, Rodney Hood and Larry Nance who have all struggled in Cleveland in their playoff series against the Celtics.

During last night’s draft lottery it became apparent that the Celtics won the trade when the Nets 2019 pick, which the Cavs own, only resulted in the 8th pick in next year’s draft.

Apparently Cavs players knew that the Celtics won the trade a long time ago because at one point in the season a player admitted to The Athletic’s Jason Lloyed that the team got fleeced by C’s GM Danny Ainge.

5. The toxicity level was so high at one point during this season in Hiroshima that one Cavs player turned and looked at me after one of many particularly ugly winter losses.

6. “Danny Ainge is a f*cking thief,” he said. No explanation needed.

Not only did Ainge fleece the Cavs but the trade could be the reason LeBron leaves next season if Cleveland loses their playoff series to Boston. Ouch.
