Star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has completed his visit with the New England Patriots, but no deal has been struck.

Although Hopkins left Gillette Stadium without signing a contract, there is significant speculation that the Patriots are aggressively pursuing him. According to Jeff Howe of TheAthletic, there remains an underlying sense of optimism that a deal could be reached between Hopkins and the Patriots.

Mike Reiss of ESPN has also weighed in on the situation, stating that unless an unforeseen event occurs, both parties are expected to take some time to evaluate their options before making a final decision.

This indicates that Hopkins is considering all his options carefully and wants to ensure he makes the best choice for his future.

Adding fuel to the fire, Hopkins took to social media, specifically Instagram, to share a photo of himself alongside Patriots outside linebacker Matthew Judon, taken from inside the team’s locker room.

Hopkins captioned the photo with the words “La Familia,” hinting at a potential connection or camaraderie between him and the Patriots organization.

The New England Patriots’ wide receiver corps currently includes JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton, who are both working their way back from injuries. As a result, the team has relied heavily on nine-year veteran DeVante Parker and seven-year veteran Kendrick Bourne as their top wide receivers during the offseason.

If DeAndre Hopkins were to join the Patriots, he would undoubtedly provide a significant upgrade to their receiving options, bringing unparalleled talent and experience to the team.

Hopkins became a free agent after being released by the Arizona Cardinals on May. Since then, he has visited the Tennessee Titans, who reportedly made him an offer.

However, despite the interest from multiple teams, Hopkins has not shown any signs of rushing into a decision. It appears that he is carefully considering his options and taking his time to evaluate the best fit for his skills and aspirations.

As the Patriots conclude their offseason program, they will soon shift their focus to training camp in late July. It remains to be seen whether DeAndre Hopkins will ultimately choose to sign with the Patriots or pursue other opportunities.
