Colorado coach Deion Sanders stands on the field as the team warms up before a college football game between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Colorado Buffaloes at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla., Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026. A stock photo of money has been added to the collage.
Things aren’t going so well for Deion Sanders in his fourth season at the helm of the Colorado Buffaloes. Sanders and company are just 2-5 this season, bringing his career record to 18-25 over 3.5 seasons.
And, at least according to one report, Sanders is starting to feel the heat and taking some drastic measures to keep people from criticizing him.
In fact, Sanders has even offered to pay his critics a significant sum in order to stop talking about him, according to his personal videographer. However, the NFL legend has since denied that claim.
Deion Sanders Shuts Down Claim He Tried To Bribe His Haters
The videographer, Christopher Neely (AKA) “Uncle Neely,” has served as Deion’s personal videographer throughout his time in Boulder.
Neely recently told Essentially Sports that the head coach has offered his critics $50,000 to stop talking about him. But none of them accepted the offer.
“For the most part, the people that attack him wouldn’t be making the money they were making if he wasn’t here to attack,” Neely said “Which is why he told some of them, ‘Hey man, let’s just do this. I give you $50,000 to not mention my name for a year.’ And ain’t nobody took the deal yet … And you love talking about this man so much, and you make so much talking of this man that you turned the deal down.”
Sanders quickly hopped on social media to shoot down the allegation and clarify his association with Neely.
This is a lie but God bless u all. Y’all know me and have known me for years. When has it appeared that I’ve EVER cared what a man or woman has said about me? My son does my Videos and Neely is a friend.

If what Neely says is true, it’s an absolutely awful look from a seemingly desperate head coach. If it’s not, there’s going to have to be an awkward conversation between he and his “friend.”
