There’s no doubt that Patrick Reed is a great golfer. The 32-year-old is a major champion and has been ranked among the top ten players worldwide for much of his career.
But, he’s also developed quite the reputation and he seems like an overall unlikable person. In fact, it would be hard to say that he isn’t the biggest villain in golf.
After all, he’s gone through multiple scandals and joined PGA Tour rival and Saudi-funded LIV Golf.
Recently, he got in a spat with Rory McIlroy and threw a tee at him, too.
Welcome to Tee Gate.
Rory McIlroy couldn’t be bothered after Patrick Reed subpoenaed him last month (don’t blame Rory)
And then PReed tossed a tee in his direction like a 12 year old after mom said no more range balls. pic.twitter.com/NLa3lFamX0

And now, he’s embroiled in another cheating scandal. This time, it’s due to a ball in a tree. Here is Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee with more details.
If you haven’t seen the video of Patrick Reed’s tee shot at 17, here it is. pic.twitter.com/sgnKcLH4Sf

C’mon Patrick. Why Reed thought he could get away with this on live television is beyond me.
The ball is in a different tree at least 10 yards back. If he had dropped it near THAT tree he would’ve had a more difficult shot blocked out by 2 other trees. Regardless he said he could 100% identify his ball when that is clearly a physical impossibility. He’s a liar and cheat

LMAO.
Patrick Reed is the biggest cheating POS in professional golf.
Not having to watch that potato cheat his way around the PGA Tour is the best gift that LIV has given us. https://t.co/oEoaaMVthE— Matthew (@earltwomey) January 29, 2023
Reed lost the Dubai Desert Classic to McIlroy by one shot.
