President Donald Trump has taken time away from blasting LaVar Ball to focus on ripping NFL players again for “disrespecting the flag”.
During Yesterday Patriots-Raiders game in Mexico City, Boston Globe journalist Ben Volin snapped a picture of the Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch standing for the Mexican national anthem after he chose to sit during the U.s. anthem just a few minutes earlier.
Trump apparently was made aware of Lynch’s actions and went on to call out the Raiders running back by name early this morning on Twitter.
Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.
According to several Raiders fans, Lynch only stood during the Mexican anthem because he was getting worked on by trainers.

He was standing during the US national anthem but then had to sit down for some reason and trainers started working on his equipment. When he stood for the Mexican national anthem again trainers were working on his chest pads. Ben tried to paint it as he did it for being a dick
While it’s unclear whether Lynch deliberately stood up for the Mexican anthem, several fans have sided with the President and trashed Lynch on Twitter.
Despite supporting Colin Kaepernick in the past, Marshawn Lynch has never explained why he has chosen to sit out the anthem this season. Earlier in the season Lynch did however make a political statement when he wore a “Everybody vs. Trump” shirt before the Raiders’ game against the Broncos in Denver.
