Drake Lost $100K On Duke’s Final Four Loss And The Social Media Reaction Is Hysterical

This year’s Final Four was one of the most anticipated in recent memory.

Most of that anticipation was due to the meeting between Duke and North Carolina. Not only was this the first ever meeting between the hated rivals in NCAA Tournament action, but it came in Coach K’s farewell season.

The Tar Heels did their part in preventing Krzyzewski from going out with a national title, thumping the Blue Devils 81-77 in a back-and-forth affair. A late three-pointer from Caleb Love all but sealed Duke’s fate, putting an end to Coach K’s historical career and giving Tar Heel nation all-time bragging rights.

Duke supporters were crushed by the surprising defeat, but they weren’t the only ones upset with the outcome.

Superstar rapper Drake also had a dog in this fight as he placed a $100,000 wager on the Blue Devils prior to the matchup. That money sailed right out the window with North Carolina’s late game heroics and the triumphant upset.

Duke had the lead as late as the 1:30 minute mark, but a late UNC run successfully killed Drake’s money line bet. The six-figure wager would’ve paid out $152,000 but instead, the rapper lost it all.

Drake doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to sports betting. The infamous “Drake Curse” has been jinxing sports teams for years, so social media wasn’t kind following the Blue Devils’ defeat.

The reaction is hilarious.

The Curse lives on and Drake is out a quick $100K. Hopefully he’s not picking your team in his next betting endeavor.
