Draymond Green is one of the most intense players in the NBA, with the All-Star usually seen yelling after big shots, talking crap to the refs and taking a flop to try and draw a foul. That last part is something he might want to rethink doing too much, though, because, according to Green, it’s starting to become a problem with his own son.
Seeing as how kids try to duplicate their dads and/or favorite athletes they watch, Draymond Green’s young son, naturally, started to try and pretend to be his pops while playing hoops at home. Yep, that even meant flopping like his dad often does, which led Draymond to put the kibosh on that really fast by telling him to “slow down,” even suggesting that he stops watching NBA games. Take a look at Green telling the stories to reporters below.

This is too good, guys. Sure, nobody’s dying because Draymond Green’s young son is flopping around the house and trying to imitate the stuff he sees is dad doing on TV during games, but it’s funny that Green sees a problem with this and is actually holding his son back from watching more NBA games because flopping is done all the time. Draymond added that he’s realizing how impressionable kids are at a young age, so good on him to try to teach a lesson.
Let’s be honest, the entire flopping things is so overplayed by players during games. Whether it’s an offensive player landing and trying to trick the refs into calling a foul, or a defender stepping in front of a guy and falling down when, in slow-motion, video shows he was never even hit, fans are pretty bored with all the acting that’s going on these days. For Draymond Green to try and least have his son stop emulating it is probably a good idea — now if only he’d actually stop doing it himself during games, things would be a little bit better for everyone.
