The Draymond Green Show on YouTube just returned for Season 2. His subscribers and viewers had to wait longer than expected for Draymond’s vlog to make a return and he quickly explained why.

Prior to this episode below, the last episode of The Draymond Green Show was released on October 21, 2022. That was a little over two weeks after Draymond Green sucker punched his Golden State Warriors teammate Jordan Poole at practice and the footage went viral.

For the first time, Draymond Green opens up about sucker punching his teammate and why he hasn’t spoken much about it until now. Based on his comments, it certainly seems like Draymond has had a lot of time to think about his actions.

Draymond Green says he’s “not big on saying things or doing things and then running to (his) show because it’s going to get more ratings.” That’s sort of the lede into why he hasn’t spoken on the Jordan Poole incident much until now.

Green goes on to say that in this incident there were a LOT of people involved. It all stemmed from Draymond Green sucker-punching his teammate but in the aftermath, there were families, professionals, teammates, and others who had to be taken into consideration.

Draymond says “I think there is a time to speak and if the opportunity is there I’m never going to shy away from a topic.” With regards to the Jordan Poole incident, he goes on to say “the thing that I had to take into consideration with that is #1, someone else was affected.” Adding that it was actually a ton of people who were affected and not just Jordan.

Draymond Green said “when you do something that affects someone else you can’t just take yourself into consideration… How you may feel… How it may benefit you… All of those things.”

Green says for him it was like “Jordan has to deal with this, other people have to deal with this, and the last thing (he) needed to be doing was sitting here talking about it like it’s all fine and dandy.”

Interestingly, Draymond Green admitted that he recorded an episode after the incident where he talks about punching Jordan Poole. But he never released it and won’t release it because he didn’t like the way he sounded after taking time to reflect.

After moving past why he hasn’t addressed the Jordan Poole situation much, Draymond Green then discusses the Golden State Warriors’ season. The Warriors are currently 20-19 and occupy the 9th seed in the Western Conferece.

Not great.
