The Duquesne Dukes took on the Penn State Nittany Lions last night. The two teams were tied 67-67 going into the final seconds of the game. That’s when things went south in a hurry for gamblers.

Duquesne coach Keith Dambrot got T’d up and handed two technical fouls before he was ejected from the game after he went full-blown Jersey Shore ‘HOLD ME BACK, BRO’. His on-court display was pretty sad and it handed the Penn State Lions six free throw chances.

I repeat: the game was tied 67-67. Penn State now gets the opportunity to shoot six free throws in a row with less than six seconds left on the clock.

Do you know what the game’s spread was? 5.5-points. Do you know how many of those free throws Penn State hit? Enough to serve up a historic bad beat for gamblers who suffered a loss because the coach got tossed with 5-seconds left on the clock.

Duquesne +6 was almost a total lock before the coach got ejected and Penn State hit six free throws in a row. Also, who the hell hits six in a row these days? Can we give that player some props?

I’m not a big college basketball gambler. When it comes to CBB I mostly stick to watching ACC games (I went to FSU). I’d be flushing money down the toilet betting on a game like this. So while this didn’t affect my bottom line I still feel for all the gamblers out there who watched this devastation unfold in the final seconds of the game.
