The Missouri football team beat SEC rival Mississippi State handily on Saturday to move to 8-3 on the season. Near the end of that matchup, head coach Eli Drinkwitz was spotted cussing out the Bulldogs’ defense.
The scene unfolded in the final two minutes of play with the Tigers leading 39-20. Drinkwitz threatened to embarrass his opposition further if they kept trash talking his Mizzou players!
It was a matchup that saw Missouri jump out to a 28-10 first half lead before cruising to that three-score victory. Despite being down on the scoreboard, those Bulldogs continued to chirp at the Tigers on the field.
On Mizzou’s final possession, they moved the ball down to the one-yard line with a chance to expand that lead by another score. With less than two minutes left in the action, the Tigers converted a fourth-and-three pass that riled up Mississippi State defenders.
A personal foul was called on the Bulldogs after the fact, leading to a fiery reaction from Drinkwitz. As MSU continued to trash talk, the head coach threatened to run up the score!

Eli Drinkwitz eventually called off the dogs, kneeling the remaining time from the clock to end the game. It’s not the first time he’s been caught cussing out an opposing team from the sidelines.
During a 34-0 loss to Alabama earlier in the year, Drinkwitz threw a few expletives the way of the Crimson Tide, leading to a petty move on their end as they further embarrassed the Tigers.
The Missouri football coach is always one to defend his guys. He felt disrespected by Mississippi State’s jawing, which sparked that foul-mouthed response. In the end, cooler heads prevailed. The Tigers will now look to close out the year strong against Arkansas.
