It was a roller coaster of a season for the New York Jets, to say the least. Even though they were in the hunt for the playoffs at one point, they ultimately fell apart.

However, it sounds like wide receiver Elijah Moore and former offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur had some major beef in the middle of the season.

Remember when Moore requested a trade and everybody was in an uproar about it? Then there were games where he was basically invincible on the field. Well, it sounds like Elijah Moore shared incredibly harsh words with Mike LaFleur mid-way through the season, per The Athletic.

To be fair, it was odd seeing Moore essentially removed from the offensive game plan. Especially after he had a promising rookie campaign. He caught plenty of flack for requesting a trade though, as many viewed Elijah Moore as a diva. If these new reports are true, then it’s not likely to improve his public image.

This is just straight toxicity in the Jets locker room right now. Maybe they’ll do something about it in the offseason. However, New York has bigger fish to fry than pleasing Elijah Moore. Like finding a competent quarterback.

Even so, there is a chance the coaching staff can mend the relationship. With LaFleur out of the picture, a new offensive coordinator may bring a scheme that is more suitable for the players. Look for Elijah Moore to possibly bounce back next season after having a rough go in 2022.
