Erling Haaland’s dad, Alf-Inge, was not happy with officiating while watching Norway lose to England at the World Cup. He made his feelings known both during and after the game.

The former soccer pro was caught on camera gesturing to either an official or English player after an overturned penalty. He later took to social media to blame the loss on referees.

There were a few questionable calls that went in the favor of England. There were also some mistakes made by the Norwegian team.

Alfie Haaland believes the officiating influenced the outcome. Does he have a legit beef or is his saltiness unwarranted?

Erling Haaland’s dad rips World Cup officiating.

Norway, after advancing to the Round of 8 with an upset of Brazil, appeared primed for another surprise vs. England. They grabbed an early advantage on a first half goal in the 36th minute. They’d be unable to continue the momentum.

England evened the score with an equalizer at the end of the first half. It then took the lead after the intermission and held on to win, 2-1.

That first goal came with some criticism. After being cleared by the Norway goaltender, the ball appeared to hit a skycam cable. It then dropped right to an English player, who immediately started a break to find Bellingham, who found the back of the net.

FIFA saw no evidence that the ball did not hit the cable. Most viewers disagreed. By rule, contact with outside objects should result in a stoppage and restart with a dropped ball. That did not happen. It took seconds for England to capitalize.

Making matters worse, Norway later had a goal taken off the board after a VAR review, which ultimately proved to be the difference.

Alfie Haaland voiced his opinion online after the loss.

He was also caught in 4k.

His disgust was not reserved to social media alone. He was also seen on the World Cup broadcast gesturing to either an official or an opponent.

He appeared to mouth the words, “F— off,” while flashing two fingers towards the field. The response came just after an overturned penalty.

On the play, England was initially awarded a foul in the final extra time period. While it was later reversed by VAR, Haaland was peeved.

Erling Haaland’s dad was frustrated with the outcome of the contest. He believes officiating played a role. It will not change the final result. For what it’s worth, he’ll be rooting for England the rest of the way.
