Joe Burrow may have to miss some time this season due to a hand injury, according to a former NFL doctor.

On Thursday night, Burrow was wincing in pain while throwing the ball, days after he was seen wearing a mysterious glove on his wrist while exiting the team plane.

Burrow would later leave the game vs the Ravens when he was unable to grip the ball on the sidelines with what was described as a “wrist injury.”

After Burrow was ruled out for the rest of the game, former NFL doctor and orthopedic surgeon David Chao, better known as “ProFootballDoc, believes the Bengals QB may need a scope surgery on his wrist and could miss some time.

Burrow was wearing a brace on his right wrist when he arrived and got off the team bus. He was not listed on the injury report.

Given that information, it’s possible Burrow is dealing with a triangular fibrocartilage complex tear.

If so, Burrow could be heading for a scope surgery but would be able to return this season.

It’s not looking good for the Bengals if Burrow has to sit out a few games after the team got off to a slow start to the season.
