The Cincinnati Bengals come into tonight’s Super Bowl matchup against the Rams with a ton of confidence. And why not?

They’ve pulled off upsets over No. 1 seed Tennessee and Super Bowl favorite Kansas City to land their first appearance in the big game since 1988. Now, they’ll look to secure their first NFL title in franchise history.

We’ve seen this confidence on full display over the first three weeks of the postseason. Most of that comes from QB Joe Burrow and his plethora of talented playmakers on offense. Burrow has already let the world know what he plans on doing after Cincy wins Super Bowl LVI.

The Bengals’ passer isn’t the only player that’s showing belief in his abilities ahead of Sunday night’s matchup.

Defender Eli Apple is chirping at Los Angeles Rams’ wideout Odell Beckham Jr. He’s reportedly told his defensive coordinator that he wants one specific assignment, and that’s to line up against OBJ one-on-one.

“I know Odell. I’m locking in. Give him to me.”

This isn’t Apple’s first time in the spotlight this postseason. He took a few shots at Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill after Cincinnati’s win over Kansas City in the AFC Championship game.

This came a week after the cornerback ripped Saints and Giants fans for being critical about his play early on in his career. Unfortunately, those comments didn’t age well for the sixth-year defender.

This isn’t the first run in that Apple has had with Odell Beckham Jr. The former teammates played together with the Giants just a few seasons ago.

Apple went on a social media rant in 2018 where he, again, called out fans that criticized his play on the field. OBJ advised the corner to stop talking and worry about producing.

He may be telling him to do the same when they line up against one another on Sunday.

Fans have their doubts on whether Apple will be able to keep up with Beckham in a one-on-one setting. They’ve taken to Twitter to troll the defensive back about his comments.

The two do have a history on the field and Apple claims to know OBJ’s tendencies. We’ll see who walks away with bragging rights on Super Bowl Sunday.
