Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox essentially challenged Le’Veon Bell to a fight after the former Pittsburgh Steelers running back made fun of Cox’s style on social media.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Bell suggested that “they got to” Cox because he was wearing “a blouse” during a television appearance alongside Michael Strahan. Search Cox’s name on the social media app and you’ll find that conspiracy theorists, Bell included, believe he’s being put through an “Illuminati humiliation ritual.”
Catching wind of Bell’s comments, Cox replied in a since-deleted post by quote-tweeting Bell, saying “You need my number my boy? I don’t do that internet talk! I’m a real MF! TTM (talk to me).”
Bell has been making headlines in recent weeks due to his support of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, as he appeared alongside fellow former controversial Steeler Antonio Brown at a rally for the 34-time convicted felon earlier this month.
Since retiring from the NFL in 2021, Bell has maintained relevance by embarking on a boxing career, having taken part in an amateur fight against fellow former NFL running back Adrian Peterson (Bell defeated Peterson in five rounds) and three professional fights.
Cox, 33 years old, was drafted with the 12th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and spent his entire career wit the Philadelphia Eagles until his retirement in 2023. During his 11 seasons in Philly, Cox was a six-time Pro Bowler and a first-team All-Pro member, and Super Bowl winner in 2018
