There’s going to be some controversy coming out of today’s FSU-Miami game if the Noles end up losing to the Canes.
In the fourth quarter while up six points FSU executed what looked to be a beautiful trick play for a touchdown.

Unfortunately the refs on the field called the play an “illegal forward pass” despite the fact that it was hard to tell whether it was a forward or backwards pass after watching the replay.
Miami was then able to block a field goal attempt and score a touchdown to take the lead.
FSU Twitter was obviously not pleased with the refs.
We need accountability in officiating… if @ACCFootball does not suspend this crew for the blown illegal forward pass call… you can not guess when making this call! pic.twitter.com/pof3EvySad

Fine every official involved in calling this an illegal forward pass https://t.co/lxNspSe8Mc

So, an illegal forward pass call takes an FSU touchdown off the board and now, the Noles have a missed field goal that looks like it may have been partially blocked.
Crazy happenings in a Miami-Florida State game? That *never* happens.

That illegal forward pass call might be the worst call I’ve ever seen in an organized sporting event. That’s complete horseshit and they didn’t even review it. That would have changed the momentum.

That bullshit illegal forward pass call is what's gonna do us in. ACC officials doing what they do best since 1992.

Miami needed a missed OPI call, a dumb illegal forward pass, and a missed defensive pass interference, to take the lead. pic.twitter.com/zvnWaESVvx
