The Florida State Seminoles are off to the program’s best start in a few years. FSU hosted Duquesne in Week 0 and routed then 47-7 then faced the LSU Tigers in New Orleans at the Superdome in Week 1. Florida State pulled off the 24-23 road win in what was basically a home game for LSU and many called it the wildest ending to a CFB game in years.

FSU will now sit out during the official ‘Week 2’ of the College Football season before traveling to face the Louisville Cardinals Football team on Friday the 16th. Mike Norvell’s Noles will surely be taking advantage of the extra time to prepare for Louisville as the (0-1) Cardinals face the (1-0) UCF Knights this week.

Florida State also plans on looking GOOD under the Friday night lights when they travel to Louisville. They’ve decided to bust out all white uniforms (white shirts + pants + helmets) that fans have been asking for.

Here are some isolated photos of FSU’s all-white uniforms:

Obviously, they aren’t 100% white. The spears on the helmet are garnet, the numbers are garnet with gold outlining, and the sleeves + neckline have gold and garnet as well. Players will also be wearing garnet gloves if they choose.

FSU fans are loving these all-whites

There are the obvious stormtrooper comparisons:

Revenge game incoming for a few players?!

I’m loving the all-whites:

Florida State is hoping to keep the momentum rolling.

As a born-and-raised Floridian and lifelong FSU fan who grew up to graduate from Florida State, I’ve been fighting the urge to get excited about this team but it’s hard to keep it down. This is an exciting FSU squad that just won a big road game against a blue-chip LSU program.

Odds aren’t out yet for the Florida State-Louisville game next Friday but given that it’s in Louisville I’ll have to assume the Cardinals are the favorite. Louisville faces a tough UCF opponent in Week 2, a program that’s still fighting tooth and nail to be respected in the state of Florida by the Big 3 schools and the Knights will be hoping to make a big statement against Louisville.

I was never a fan of Florida State’s all-black uniforms. Or rather, I was never a fan of how FSU played when wearing the all black unis. So here’s to hoping my alma mater performs better in these all-white unis.
