Following the high of their home win over the Philadelphia Eagles a few weeks ago, the New York Jets have come crashing back down to earth in recent weeks following three terrible offensive performances, two of which have led to losses.

The situation for Gang Green became particularly dire on Sunday night as they lost to a Las Vegas Raiders team with an interim head coach and a 4th-round-pick rookie starting at quarterback.

And despite the fact that the defense held the Raiders to just 16 points, the Jets still lost as the offense was only able to muster 12 points (via four field goals).

Speaking to reporters after the game, star wide receiver Garrett Wilson — who has still been putting up WR1 numbers despite Zach Wilson’s struggles — was “on the verge” of tears as he expressed his frustration with the offense’s performance this season.

“I don’t know what y’all want me to say,” Wilson said. “I’m tired of this, man. I want to play better. The offense wants to play better. Every week we’re trying to make it happen. It’s frustrating.”\

Wilson wasn’t alone in his frustrations, as players such as running back Breece Hall and tight end Tyler Conklin expressed similar feelings.

“It’s frustrating. I’ve been saying that since the first week,” Hall said.

“It’s a broken record at this point. We’ve gotta figure it out. We can’t keep going out here and doing this over and over again. Letting the defense down, our team down,” Conklin said

“I wish I had answers to (reporters’) questions about why we can’t score in the red zone, why we had a lot of penalties, all those things, but there’s really no good answer to give you guys besides we’ve gotta figure it the f— out.”

As a result of their Sunday Night Football loss to the Raiders, the Jets record has fallen to 4-5, which puts them in a difficult position in the packed AFC. In the AFC North, for example, all four teams have at least five wins already.
