In what can only be assumed was a quest to prove that average Joes are capable of achieving greatness when provided just a little bit of direction, Ronny Doitche did exactly that with his latest golf challenge.
It is up for debate if this is a golf challenge, drinking challenge, or eating challenge. In truth, it’s all of the above but I’m inclined to call this a golf challenge because he’s playing more golf than he is drinking or eating. But the challenge itself is pretty straight-forward: play 18 holes of golf, drink 18 beers (1 on each tee), and eat 18 hot dogs.
Ronny Doitche’s video is starting to go viral on TikTok where he has 118K followers and it’s also taking off on Instagram where he has 122K followers. If the TikTok video isn’t working properly it can also be seen here on Instagram.

He pulled all of this off while dressed up as Mr. Larson from Happy Gilmore while wearing a hard hat with a nail in it. And honestly, as a golfer who is constantly in his own head about twitching glass blades, insects buzzing by, and any other distractions, I’m confident that golfing in a hard hat would’ve been the hardest part for me. It’s also impressive (and safer) that he walked the entire course versus riding in a cart.
Ronny Doitche is no stranger to drinking challenges. This video from earlier this month amassed 28.3 million views and he earned $440 by challenging people to chugging contests at the tailgate.
I’m also intrigued by the fact that on Hole #1 he shotgunned the beer out of a can. After that he was chugging them out of a clear plastic cup. Were they pouring the beers from cans into cups so he could drink them quicker? Did someone pack up a pony keg in the cart? I have questions.
This 18 hole golf challenge immediately reminded me of The Daly Cup, an event I’ve covered over the years. The Daly Cup is an annual golf tournament held in honor of John Daly’s essence and the rules are incredible.
It’s a 2-man scramble tournament. Each team gets 24 beers and 12 of those are obligatory. Then, for every additional beer drank 1 stroke is subtracted from the team’s final score. And there are unlimited mulligans in the tournament but the golfer must take a shot (alcohol of their choosing) before each mulligan.
