Man, between Taylor Swift dating Travis Kelce, former Miss Universe turned reality TV star Olivia Culpo dating Christian McCaffrey, and Hailee Steinfeld dating Josh Allen, the NFL dating scene is as wild as its ever been.
I mean, just look at all the hubbub Jessica Simpson caused back in the day when she was dating Tony Romo. That was nothing compared to today’s NFL.
Throw in Adele proclaiming her allegiance to the Cleveland Browns last week and the NFL marketing department must be jumping for joy these days.
Speaking of Hailee Steinfeld, remember when NFL fans thought Josh Allen was too distracted by her after they were spotted making out on a vacation to Mexico? (Tony Romo experienced similar concerns when he vacationed in Mexico with Simpson.)
Welp, after Josh Allen went 21 for 25 for 320 yards with five touchdowns (four passing) on Sunday against their division rivals, the Miami Dolphins, he now the favorite to win NFL MVP.
So much for all those distractions, huh?
After all, on the same day that Allen and the Bills improved to 3-1 to take over the top spot in the AFC East, the folks over at Leveled Up Buffalo shared a photo showing Hailee Steinfeld hanging out with Josh Allen’s mom Lavonne at their store. Look out Donna Kelce, you’ve got some NFL mom competition!
“Taylor Swift who?!” one fan commented.
“Better love story than Kelce and Swift,” another wrote.
“It’s adorable that she’s wearing Josh’s college sweatshirt,” someone else noted. (It is pretty adorable.)
So, apparently, Josh Allen has gotten over his “insecurity” when it comes to his relationship with Steinfeld being the subject of public scrutiny.
“The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind,” Allen told Pardon My Take after the photos from Mexico were published. “I just, like, felt this gross feeling. Insecurity. No privacy. [I was] like, ‘What is wrong with people?'”

The couple was actually first seen together in late May in New York City.
Of course, it took less than a week after that sighting for Bills fans to start worrying about her being a “distraction.”
It’s probably pretty safe to say that those concerns have now been alleviated. At least until his next bad game.
