Haley Cavinder is headed (back) to Miami. The influencer/women’s basketball star announced a return to South Florida on Thursday afternoon.
The move signals the third transfer of her college career, though this one is certainly the most interesting. She’s leaving TCU without ever having stepped on the court!
Cavinder’s NCAA tenure has been one of constant change. Initially enrolled at Fresno State, she opted to go cross-country to suit up for the Hurricanes after two seasons.
After spending time in Miami, she called it quits on a career altogether in hopes pursuing other professional ventures. That included a reported future in WWE.
The time away from the court didn’t last long as she later announced an intention to return to basketball, though with a new program.
Haley Cavinder chose TCU, a decision many believe was influenced by the fact that she’s been dating Dallas Cowboys’ star Jake Ferguson.
It seems blood is thicker in this instance, as just six months later, she’s changing course once again.

Haley Cavinder is leaving TCU to join her sister at Miami (again).
The announcement comes a day after Hanna Cavinder made public her return to the Hurricanes. She, too, had taken a season away from the court, but found it hard to stay away completely.
“I have been itching to get back to the game that I thought I lost the love and passion for,” she wrote in a post on Instagram. “Nothing quite fills the void that this sport brings me.”

The duo will be back together on the court next year!
While that’s great news for the Hurricanes, who made the Elite Eight the last time the sisters suited up for the team, it does bring up questions about Jake Ferguson.
The move to TCU was one that would get Cavinder closer to her boyfriend in Dallas, and it was made shortly after rumors of the couple dating went public.
Now, she’ll be headed back to the Southeast.
At last check, the two were still enjoying their relationship, being seen vacationing just last month.
“All is well,” a caption read accompanied by photos of the trip with the tight end.
