The two most viral moments of the 2022 PGA Tour season thus far both took place on the Par 3 16th at the WM Phoenix Open. One of them had to do with an incredible golf shot, while the other had to do with two golfers deciding to rip off their shirts.

During Saturday’s third round, Sam Ryder blew the roof off of TPC Scottsdale with his ace. Rumor has it that they’re still finding rogue beer cans around the Par 3 after he caused the beer showers of all beer showers with his ace.

While holes-in-one happen every year out on the PGA Tour, professional golfers ripping off their clothes during a tournament is a very rare sight. Harry Higgs and Joel Dahmen each played a role in the viral moment and Higgs recently detailed the build-up to them taking their shirts off on the Par 3.

Higgs joined the No Laying Up podcast to give his side of the story, and in typical Higgs fashion, his story-telling was hilarious.

As Higgs explains, fans were already chanting “show some skin” after they hit their tee shots. Higgs knew that his rather lengthy par putt was going to drop as soon as he struck the ball, but time slowed down as he remembers contemplating in his head whether or not to actually show some skin.

Well, we all know how that ended. Higgs flashed the ginormous crowd while Dahmen ripped off his shirt in one of the wildest moments in recent PGA Tour history.
