Earlier this week, it was reported that former United States Gymnastics physician Larry Nassar had been stabbed by a fellow inmate in prison while serving his 360 year-long prison sentence.

The attack occurred on Sunday in Nassar’s cell at the United States Penitentiary Coleman in Florida.

Nassar was reportedly stabbed twice in the neck, twice in the back, and six times in the chest, but was in stable condition on Monday.

On Wednesday, the identity of the inmate who stabbed the disgraced former doctor was revealed to be Shane McMillan.

The Associated Press reports that McMillan “was previously convicted of assaulting a correctional officer at a federal penitentiary in Louisiana in 2006 and attempting to stab another inmate to death at the federal Supermax prison in Florence, Colorado in 2011.”

McMillan reportedly had to be pulled off of Nassar by four other inmates. Correctional officers then performed what prison officials called life-saving measures on Nassar.

Nassar was still in stable condition on Wednesday with injuries from the stabbing that include a collapsed lung.

McMillan told prison workers that he attacked Nassar because he made a comment about wanting to see girls playing in the Wimbledon women’s tennis match.

This is the second time Larry Nassar has been attacked in prison.

“He’s marked for death in prison,” a prison insider recently told RadarOnline.com.

“Inmates don’t take a shine to people convicted of the kind of crimes that Larry has not shown any remorse. They’ll be plotting to take him out once and for all.”

In a letter written before the stabbing and obtained by RadarOnline.com, Nassar delusionally claimed, “When an innocent person is forced into a guilty plea, the world is set on fire.”

Convicted pedophile Jared Fogle was once in a similar situation as Nassar. Prison officials were at one point forced to make special moves to try to keep him safe after he was left “beaten and bloodied” in a prison yard ambush by a 60-year-old inmate named Steven Nigg in 2016.

Now, he is reportedly treated like a celebrity in prison, Nigg claimed earlier this year.
