The Iowa Hawkeyes offense this past football season was frankly pathetic. It was as bad as any in recent memory.
It became a meme of college football this year, as weeks went by without a long touchdown drive. With an excellent defense, Iowa could have easily won the Big Ten West with an average offense.
Instead, they had a terrible offense. It ranked 130th out of 131st in total yards at just 251.6 yards per game.
The memes were out all year long.

To make matters worse, the offensive coordinator is Kirk Ferentz’s son, Brian. He is to offense what a toddler is to painting.
Most Iowa fans wanted Ferentz to fire Brian. But, it appears that he will be back this year.
Kirk on staff: “I anticipate no changes on our staff moving forward.”

It’s an indefensible decision by the elder Ferentz. If it wasn’t his son, there would be no chance he would be back.
Naturally, Hawkeye fans are furious.
And in doing so the blatant nepotism lives on

We have to hope that Ticket sales fall to 1999 levels and we have to hope for 2-10 or 3-9.

This is disgusting nepotism at its absolute worst. KF earned a statue at kinnick, but that doesn’t mean he’s unaccountable. Honestly I think Barta looks the worst of anyone here.

Sorry, Iowa fans. Looks like you will have another terrible offense this year.
