The past few months have not been great for Ja Morant’s image.
It has seemed recently like the only news we ever hear about Ja Morant is when he has messed up again.
First there were the reports of an incident during a pickup basketball game at Morant’s house where Morant allegedly punched a 17-year old.
Next it was an incident with the Indiana Pacers. Morant and his entourage reportedly had an altercation with the Pacers’ traveling party. According to the reports, Morant’s entourage aggressively confronted the traveling party and then somebody shone a red laser at the Pacers’ traveling party from an SUV.
Just a few days ago, Morant was back in the news after the Washington Post shed light on an incident where the Memphis Grizzlies point guard threatened a security guard at a Memphis mall.
It didn’t take long for Morant to give people another reason to talk about his off-court issues.
This morning, Morant posted a video to his Instagram Live where he appeared to be showing off his gun.

Things had been going so well for Morant in his career until just a few months ago. He’s in just his 4th NBA season and has already made 2 All-Star appearances and earned a spot on an All-NBA second team.
He has quickly become one of the league’s best point guards and turned the Memphis Grizzlies into a contender in a tough Western Conference.
He is playing some of the best basketball of his career this season, but it is being overshadowed by what seems to be a regular stream of off-court issues.
Hopefully he can figure out how to stay out of the news the rest of the year so we can go back to focusing on his talent on the court.
