In the UFC, there are certain fighters who have iconic walkout songs that all fans associate with them.

Fans expect to hear Sinead O’Connor singing “The Foggy Dew” every time Conor McGregor fights. They’ve been rocking out to “Zombie” by The Cranberries for over a decade before Korean Zombie fights. Urijah Faber lived up to his “California Kid” nickname throughout his career by walking out to “California Love”.

However, there is one walkout that stands out from the rest. For the last 10 years, Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson has walked out to Tenacious D’s “Wonderboy” before his fights.

This weekend, Wonderboy will be headlining the UFC on ESPN 42 card and he’ll have a special guest for his walkout.

Thompson will be joined by the man responsible for his walkout song, Jack Black, as he walks to the cage on Saturday.

Wonderboy has dropped his last 2 fights against Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad and there are some out there who believe the 39-year old could have reached the end of his time competing at the top of the welterweight division, but if there’s anything that can help him turn things around, it’s the presence of Jack Black.

After this great moment, Stephen Thompson will be taking on Kevin Holland. He had briefly retired after losing to Khamzat Chimaev in the first round of the UFC 279 main event back in September, but that retirement didn’t last very long.

Before that loss, Holland had put together 2 consecutive wins, finishing both Alex Oliveira and Tim Means in the 2nd round.

Wonderboy has spent his past couple of fights mostly grappling, but Holland could be just the matchup he needs to get back to putting his striking on display.

Whether or not that works out the way he would hope, this will at least still be a memorable weekend thanks to Jack Black.
