Back in March, Jackson Mahomes, the brother of the Kansas City Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was accused of assaulting a waiter and Aspen Vaughn, the female owner of a bar and restaurant.

The woman claimed Jackson Mahomes grabbed her by her throat and kissed her at least twice in her basement office at the restaurant without her consent.

Video of the incident went viral on the internet shortly after the news broke.

Jackson Mahomes’ attorney still claimed, “Jackson has done nothing wrong. Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser including the statements of several witnesses.”

Since that time, however, Jackson, usually a serial social media poster, has been conspicuously absent from TikTok and Instagram for several weeks.

His last TikTok post was posted on Feb. 24 and his most recent Instagram post was published on Feb. 25.

On April 16, Jackson Mahomes returned to TikTok with a video that has been viewed around 94,500 times – a far cry from the millions of views a majority of all of his previous TikTok posts had received.

The comments on the TikTok video were, as one might expect, less than kind.

“Just give your brother all the credit already,” read one comment.

“If it weren’t for QB1 we wouldn’t know this monstrosity,” read another.

“Bro is under investigation but has no shame,” another viewer commented.

“Bro beat the case,” someone else wrote.

The 22-year-old apparently didn’t appreciate all the negativity thrown his way so for his first Instagram post in eight weeks he provided no description and turned off the comments.

Earlier this month, Newsweek contacted Jackson Mahomes’ lawyer Brandan Davies, who told them, “We have provided law enforcement with the tools and evidence they need to evaluate the claims against Jackson.

“Every interaction between people needs to be placed in the proper context. Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context.

“We have faith in the process and look forward to a swift resolution of the matter.”

The woman in the video, Aspen Vaughn, had previously told the Kansas City Star, “He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere. And I’m telling him, pushing him off saying, ‘What are you doing?’

“Then he proceeded to do it two more times where the last time I was pushing him off and I can see on the cameras that somebody was outside the office door and I was yelling for them to come help because he’s big and massive.”

Vaughn added, “It’s disgusting. Like you’re a child and he was trying to say, ‘We should be a power couple,’ and I’m like, ‘Clearly you’re out of your mind right now.”

Jackson Mahomes’ sister-in-law Brittany Mahomes has gone on record defending him since the allegations and video surfaced.
