The Jacksonville Jaguars have solidified their offensive firepower by signing tight end Evan Engram to a substantial three-year contract worth $41.5 million.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the deal includes an impressive $24 million in guaranteed money, indicating the Jaguars’ confidence in Engram’s abilities.

This signing comes after Engram was initially franchise tagged earlier in the offseason. The organization’s decision to offer him a multi-year deal demonstrates their commitment to building a dynamic offense around their young quarterback, Trevor Lawrence.

Engram, a former first-round pick of the New York Giants, has faced numerous challenges throughout his professional career, primarily due to recurring injuries and playing for underperforming Giants teams.

Nevertheless, last season, alongside Lawrence and the Jaguars, Engram had a breakout year, amassing career-best statistics of 73 receptions, 766 receiving yards, and four touchdowns.

While Engram’s achievements in the previous season were notable, replicating such success might prove challenging in the upcoming campaign. The reason being the addition of wide receiver Calvin Ridley to the Jaguars’ arsenal of offensive weapons.

Ridley joins a group of talented wide receivers, including Christian Kirk and Zay Jones, who will all vie for targets in the passing game.

With Evan Engram now secured under a long-term contract, the Jaguars’ attention turns to resolving the situations of three remaining franchise players before the impending deadline on Monday at 4 pm ET.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley, Raiders RB Josh Jacobs and Cowboys RB Tony Pollard.

The clock is ticking for the Giants, Raiders, and Cowboys, who must make critical decisions regarding these talented franchise players.

The outcome of these negotiations will undoubtedly shape the future landscape of their respective teams.
