By all accounts, Jalen Milroe is a stand-up dude. Every single story that comes out about the starting quarterback at the University of Alabama is better than the one before.

He never hung his head after being benched early in the season. His leadership while serving as the backup against USF was so impressive to Nick Saban and his teammates that they immediately threw their support behind his return to the starting role. There was never a moment in which he let all of the outside noise get to him.

All he did was support his guys.

Milroe’s teammates have nothing but great things to say.

Jalen is a better teammate and an even better man. So I would say for him, with all the people kind of criticizing him, trying to say what they want about him, trying to portray him to have this certain image, he’s nothing but a really great guy, great teammate […]

Most people don’t realize how humble he is.

Even beyond what played out in Tuscaloosa during the early-season, not one person with any kind of credibility or experience being around Milroe has said anything negative about who he is as a person. The 21-year-old always has a smile on his face and will always go the extra mile to do the right thing.

This past weekend was the perfect example!

Jalen Milroe cares.

Milroe partnered with SANIL to hold a youth football camp in Alabama on Saturday afternoon. Every camper was promised a chance to meet the Crimson Tide signal-caller, in addition to specific position group training, combine testing, and all of the standard youth camp stuff.

The agreement between Milroe and SANIL required him to appear at the camp for 120 minutes. Not only did he stay for five hours (the camp only lasted four hours), he went out his way to ensure that every single kid to attend received an experience that they would never forget.

Milroe was not just there as a figurehead. He made a point to treat the campers as if they were on equal standing. They were his peers.

Shoutout to Jalen Milroe for being a real one!
