  • Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals lost Super Bowl LVI by a score of 23-20.
  • The game was clinched with a 4th-and-1 stop by the Los Angeles Rams defense.
  • New footage of the play has revealed that Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase was actually wide open down the sideline.

Despite holding a lead for a majority of the second half and the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LVI, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals ultimately lost the game to the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 23-20.

Following Cooper Kupp’s touchdown with less than two minutes to play, Burrow and the Bengals offense had the ball and a chance to either tie the game with a field goal or take the lead with a touchdown. Unfortunately for Cincy and their fans, the drive stalled at midfield with the Rams coming up with a huge stop on 4th-and-1 to clinch the Super Bowl title.

Unfortunately, to add insult to injury, a new angle of footage of the play shows star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase streaking down the field for what would’ve been a wide-open touchdown if Burrow could’ve avoided the sack for just another second or two.

Following their loss in Super Bowl LVI, the Cincinnati Bengals are currently tied with the San Francisco 49ers with +1400 odds to win next year’s big game which makes the AFC North champs one of the top six favorites to lift the 2022-23 Lombardi Trophy. Ahead of the Bengals are the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and Dallas Cowboys.

If the Bengals are going to repeat as AFC Champions and return to next year’s big game, they’re going to have to shore up their offensive line as the team gave up seven sacks in the game, which was a Super Bowl record.
