There weren’t many reasons to believe James Harden was interested in suiting up for the 76ers next season based on the mood in the room after Philadelphia was eliminated in the second round of the playoffs, and while he did opt into the final year of his contract, that move was supposedly made to make it easier to facilitate a trade.

However, it didn’t take long for reports to surface that suggested the franchise was having some trouble finding a suitor for the guard, as it seems the teams Harden is interested in playing for don’t have the kind of assets the 76ers would be hoping to get in return.

As a result, we’ve been treated to a piping hot batch of NBA Drama amid rumors Philadelphia could decline to move Harden before the start of the season, which has led to speculation he could dip into his personal protest playbook and pack some pounds onto his frame prior to arriving to training camp.

Earlier this month, plenty of fans speculated Harden was already going out of his way to add weight in the hopes of sending a subtle message to the team, and based on a video that surfaced over the weekend, it’s not too farfetched to believe he’s making a concerted effort to cultivate some mass as the saga continues to unfold.

Harden was one of the many people who headed down to Miami for the Rolling Loud music festival that kicked off on Friday, and on Saturday night, he and P.J. Tucker were part of the crowd that assembled for an afterparty featuring a performance from Travis Scott.

Houston hip-hop legend Bun B was also in the house to hand out some of his “Trill Burgers” to the revelers, and Harden took full advantage by grabbing four of them at once before making his way back into the crowd.

There’s obviously a very good chance Harden ended up distributing the burgers to other people, and when you consider how much the typical professional athlete needs to eat in order to compete, he probably could’ve devoured all of them himself without being that much worse for the wear.

With that said, the optics are still pretty hilarious when you consider the conversations swirling around his uncertain future.
