No one appeared to have more fun Sunday night in Las Vegas than Jason Kelce after his brother’s Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

In fact, no one appeared to have more fun over the entire playoffs than Jason Kelce did. (Something that apparently came as little shock to his wife Kylie.)

However, Jason Kelce reached peak wildman Sunday night, dancing to a Taylor Swift song while wearing a luchador wrestling mask and his red and gold Chiefs overalls.

On Friday, after saying on his New Heights podcast that he found the luchador mask on the floor of a club, a family in Dallas publicly begged to differ.

They told news outlets in Dallas that their son, Elijah Smith, an eighth grade student, actually ran into Jason Kelce after the Super Bowl and let him put on the mask – a mask signed by Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie.

After snapping a picture with the mask on, they say Kelce just wandered off, still wearing it.

“I gave him my mask and then he dropped it and then picked it back up. Then I got a picture with him wearing it and then I just hung out next to them for five to 10 minutes, they were dancing and everything,” Smith told NBCDFW News.

Elijah said he and a friend tried to find him, but the crowd was too thick and they couldn’t get to him.

“I saw videos on Instagram this week of him wearing it at the next after-party he went to, so he clearly never took it off the whole night,” Elijah added.

Considering he views the mask as a good luck charm, in addition to it being autographed, he understandably wants it back.

“The only thing is, Jason if you’re listening, we just need the mask back before the season starts,” said Elijah’s dad Thad (not Brad or Chad, thanks goodness). “Because it’s a lucky mask, and so the Chiefs need the luck. I’m sorry we’re not Eagles fans.”

Naturally, the story quickly made its way to Jason Kelce who responded on social media with a post.

“Operation ‘Get Elijah His Mask Back’ is underway!” Jason wrote on X. “I appreciate everyone bringing this to my attention, and look forward to uniting Elijah with his mask once again. Your mask indeed brings great fortune, I owe you big time, sorry it was commandeered.”

“There’s something about finding that luchador mask that really just transformed the night,” Jason Kelce said about the mask on his podcast this week. “It really did. It was insane.”

“It would be pretty cool if he autographed it and sent it back,” Elijah told NBCDFW News.

Now it sounds like he is going to end up with way more than that.
